What is a Guardian Home?
A Guardian Home provides the opportunity for a family to have a breeding quality puppy at a significantly reduced price and compensation for each litter. Guardian dogs live in your home as your family pet, while we retain the breeding rights of the dog. All litters will be whelped in our home, and the mother dog stays with us until the puppies are weaned and sent off to their homes. Once the dog is retired from breeding, we pay the cost of spay/neuter, and full ownership of the dog is transferred to the guardian family. The cost of a guardian home dog is $500 vs. $3,000 for the pet price.
Why we offer the Guardian Program
- The Dog: The Guardian Program allows our breeding dogs to live in loving homes and not a kennel. Once their time with us has ended, they have already established a home to return to rather than rehoming as adults.
- Virgin River Doodles: The guardian program gives us the peace of mind that all of our dogs are getting the love and attention they deserve while continuing to grow our program. Unfortunately, we can only keep so many dogs in our home, which is why the guardian home comes into play.
- The Guardian Home: Not only does the guardian home have the opportunity to raise a new puppy, but they have a fully tested pick of the litter puppy at a reduced price and compensation per litter.
